Dre Levant works in abstract—playful, exploratory, horrifying. They are a writer and a visual artist, a libra moon & rising. Their work by turns examines the horror of existing in a body, queerness, and religious trauma - often through the lens of whimsy and theatricality.Author of the experimental and unnerving short horror poetry collection titled Meat Glue, which has been hailed as "an electric suckerpunch" (Cypress Wilde, author of In June We Sink). Their earlier work includes the poetry chapbooks icarus rising, sun eater, jack invites werewolves to the tea party, and unholy fruit (a poetry and visual art hybrid).Dre is the the driving force (read: one-man show) behind the queer gothic publication moth eaten mag & its chapbook imprint, dogleech books.
